Classes

The goal here at Steve Reynolds Studio 110 is to introduce Dancing to people of all ages, especially to those who have never danced before. What people may not know, is that anyone can learn to Dance! We want to get the shy, doubtful, as well as the confident out on the floor. Monthly parties, activities and group classes are a fun way to begin...

FOR THE SOCIAL DANCER...

Group classes are Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays. We usually cover 2 dances each session (example: Swing plus Waltz) The first class of each month is a great starting place for new students since we always begin with a basic pattern and build on that pattern as the month progresses. No partner necessary!

FLINT INSTITUTE OF MUSIC:
Steve teaches classes here every Wednesday night
7:00-8:00pm DANCING FOR ENJOYMENT (Beginners guide to get passed that awkward stage!)
8:00-9:00pm INTERMEDIATE BALLROOM AND LATIN
Great facility, great place to learn. This location may be more convenient for students living in the Flint area and southern Genesee County. Register at the Flint Institute of Music. 810-238-1350

STEVE IS BACK ON TUESDAY NIGHTS!!
Steve is happy to be back in the studio teaching group class. After spending time establishing and promoting the Ballroom Dance Program at Central Michigan University, he is looking forward to sharing his experience and knowledge with new and old students at Studio 110.

Group class prices:
Drop-in fee is $10 per person each class OR
SAVE $$ with prepaid classes: $35/month per class regardless of whether there's 4 or 5 weeks in the month.

NEW CLASSES: Latin aerobics and Hip-Hop are offered on Saturday mornings. These classes are taught by Curtis and Heather.

FOR THE SHY "I'LL NEVER LEARN HOW TO DANCE" DANCER...

Private lessons are available by appointment if you prefer one-on-one attention with your teacher. Individuals, couples, or small groups can work at their own pace and choose which dances they prefer to work on. Private lessons may be scheduled for 1/2 hour or one hour sessions.

FOR THE SERIOUS COMPETITIVE DANCER...

If anyone is really serious about becoming a great dancer, then competition may be for you. Even if you're not serious yet, you might get hooked! At Ballroom/Swing Competitions, students compete against other people who dance at the same level doing the same dance figures. It brings out the best in their dancing. The competitive ladies love the opportunity to dress up in beautiful ballgowns or sexy Latin costumes - complete with false eyelashes and costume jewelry! Private lessons are necessary to work on the competitive figures. If you are interested, just ask Steve.

ATTIRE...

Typically casual. We do recommend a dress shoe or loafer for both men and women. Gym shoes have too much traction and make turns/pivots/spins more difficult (it's tough on your knees too). If you are interested, we can direct you to some dance shoe suppliers in our area. "Real" dance shoes have suede bottoms. Once you've danced in these you'll never want to dance in your regular shoes again.

QUESTIONS?

We will all be happy to help you in any way we can. JUST DANCE!!
